Privacy Policy

Last updated: 22 April 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Jana Crypto Queen (operating from Melbourne, Australia) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit cryptojana.ai. This page is written in plain language — no legalese hiding anything.

1. What we collect

Two kinds of data, and nothing else.

Data you give us directly

  • Your name, email, Twitter/X handle, company, and message when you submit the lead form.
  • Your email when you subscribe to the newsletter.
  • Any other information you voluntarily include in those fields.

Data collected automatically

  • Standard web logs: IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed, referring URL, approximate location derived from IP.
  • Analytics events via Google Analytics 4 and Vercel Analytics.
  • Campaign attribution parameters (utm_source, utm_medium,utm_campaign, gclid, referrer) when you arrive via a marketing link. These are stored in your browser session and forwarded with any lead form you submit.
  • Cookies and similar technologies (see section 5).

2. How we use it

  • Respond to your inquiry. Lead data is used to reply to campaign, speaking, and general messages.
  • Measure site performance. Aggregated analytics tell us what's working and what isn't.
  • Improve user experience. Anonymous session replays and heatmaps (Microsoft Clarity) help us see where the site is confusing or broken so we can fix it. Form inputs and sensitive content are masked.
  • Paid-ads attribution. Campaign parameters let us understand which marketing channel produced an inquiry.
  • Spam protection. Google reCAPTCHA scores form submissions to block automated abuse.

We do not sell your data, we do not share it with data brokers, and we do not use it for purposes you didn't agree to.

3. Who processes your data on our behalf

We use reputable third-party services to run the site. Each one processes some data for us:

  • Airtable (airtable.com) — stores lead form submissions.
  • Vercel (vercel.com) — hosts the site, serves pages, collects basic performance analytics.
  • Google Analytics 4 — measures page views and events.
  • Google Ads — when paid ads are running, conversion events are sent so we can measure campaigns.
  • Google reCAPTCHA — scores form submissions for spam.
  • Microsoft Clarity (clarity.microsoft.com) — captures anonymized behavioural data (mouse movement, clicks, scrolls, page views) and produces session replays and heatmaps so we can understand how visitors use the site and improve it. Clarity automatically masks form inputs and other sensitive content. See Microsoft's Privacy Statement for how Microsoft processes the data.
  • Storyblok (storyblok.com) — serves blog content and images via CDN.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy covering how it handles the data we send it.

4. Legal basis and your rights (GDPR / Australian Privacy Act)

We rely on the following legal bases:

  • Consent for cookies, analytics, and ad tracking.
  • Legitimate interest for responding to your inquiry and preventing abuse.
  • Contract performance when you engage us for a campaign.

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion.
  • Object to processing or withdraw consent.
  • Port your data to another service.
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (OAIC in Australia, or your local DPA in the EU/EEA).

To exercise any of these, email janacryptoqueen@gmail.com. We respond within 30 days.

5. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies for analytics (Google Analytics 4, Vercel Analytics), conversion tracking (Google Ads), session replay and heatmaps (Microsoft Clarity), and spam prevention (Google reCAPTCHA). Because the site is operated from Australia and primarily targets Australian visitors, these are active by default and we do not show a consent banner.

Strictly necessary cookies (session, reCAPTCHA, CSRF) are always active because the site cannot function without them.

If you prefer not to be tracked, you can:

6. Data retention

  • Lead form submissions: kept in Airtable indefinitely unless you request deletion. Archived quarterly.
  • Newsletter email: until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics data: retained for up to 14 months in GA4 (default).
  • Server logs: 30 days.

7. Data transfers

Most processors listed above are based in the United States. By using the site, you acknowledge that your data may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions with different privacy laws than your own. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where applicable.

8. Security

We use HTTPS everywhere, reCAPTCHA for spam protection, and scope our third-party API tokens to the minimum required. No system is perfectly secure, but we take security seriously.

9. Children

The site is not directed to anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe we have, email us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when laws or our services change. The date at the top reflects the last revision. Material changes will be announced on the site.
